Here’s a WIP of a little half-timber structure study I’m doing to work on my environment skills. I’m finding I’m actually spending most of my time in Substance Designer, and really appreciating the work that the procedural materials are doing. Also experimenting a bit with tessellation and height maps, as well as drilling some UE4 fundamentals like normal map scaling/rotation/intensity materials and the nodes needed to create/control glass materials.
Some of the WIP materials I’ve been working on as I go.
